PRAIRIE AVE. & EAST 21st STREET
back to Previous Projects
A 9 story, 87 unit residential condominium development on Chicago's Prairie Street. This project features a blend of contemporary architecture design with material treatment in keeping with the historic surrounding of the community.
Long before the Gold Coast was golden and Michigan Avenue was magnificent, the address of choice for Chicago's upper crust was Prairie Avenue. Beginning in the 1870's, fashionable homebuyers flocked to the area between 16th and 22nd Streets, building large and elaborate mansions. By the early 1890's, the street boasted more than 75 millionaire residents, including Marshall Field, Philip Armour and George Pullman. The homes that remain have been declared Chicago landmarks.
Today, Prairie Avenue is in the midst of a major residential revival. But unlike the days of horse-drawn carriages, you no longer have to be a millionaire to feel at home. At Prairie 21 in particular, you'll find an unpretentious atmosphere that emphasizes convenience and style. With easy access to public transportation and the Loop, as well as high-quality finishes and amenities, Prairie 21 will make you feel like a million bucks.
